Dr. McKirven Ceus, MD is a Sports Medicine physician with a dual board certification in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine. He cares for athletes and non-athletes of all ages and specializes in the non-surgical management of orthopedic conditions. Dr. Ceus works with his patients to completely avoid, and in some cases, delay the need for surgery through research-based conservative management. If surgery is necessary, he will expedite an appointment to an orthopedic surgical specialist.
Dr. Ceus completed his Sports Medicine fellowship training at West Kendall Baptist Hospital/Florida International University. During his fellowship training he had the opportunity to work alongside some of the top orthopedic specialist in the country. He was directly involved in the care of the Miami Dolphins, Miami Heat, Florida International University Athletics, St. Thomas University Athletics and Miami-Dade High school football. His orthopedic clinical training included rotations in general orthopedic surgery, foot surgery, orthopedic trauma, orthopedic pediatric surgery, musculoskeletal radiology, rehabilitation and primary care sports medicine.
Dr. Ceus' special interests include pain management, non-surgical fracture care, concussion management, orthopedic pediatrics, and ultrasound-guided injections. He has extensive experience in urgent care settings and he currently serves as a ringside physician for the New York State Athletic Commission.
